Are these maps really FREE (Standard Style Maps ONLY)?

Yes, the FREE maps offered at https://talkytoaster.me.uk/free-maps-home/ are based on OSM and NASA data which are open-source; I combine them together and add other material to them. You can download and use them for FREE (selected Standard Style maps only). However, this does NOT mean you can sell them, or devices/media with these maps on (or even resell them).  

A s of the 14th of April, 2023, the TT STD maps are no longer being offered for FREE (with an optional donation).

These are not OS maps, they do not use data from Ordnance Survey and the maps offered via this site are not affiliated in any way with them. The use of the terms OS and Landranger is for descriptive purposes only and fully acknowledges that these terms are owned by Ordnance Survey, the same applies to Garmin and Discoverer.

All maps are licensed to you personally (not sold), this license for use is for just you and it is NOT transferable. In otherwords, you MUST REMOVE/DELETE the map from the card or device if you plan on selling, part exchanging or giving away the device.

You are NOT allowed to share, sell, give away, or include the maps on devices or on any other media that you are selling, part exchanging or giving away or share/publish the download link or other material created/offered by Talkytoaster.

Placing any order via our sites is legally binding and confirms your full acceptance of and agreement to be legally bound by our terms and conditions.

I spend a significant amount of time compiling and testing these maps and any copies offered on eBay (or any other site than talkytoaster.me.uk, .co.uk, .com or .info) are unauthorised  and breach my copyright as I add material that is copyrighted by myself to them.

Those offered on eBay are often very old or unsupported experimental versions and those selling them offer them as OS maps (which they are not). This means that you get a raw deal and my reputation is damaged by these inferior versions sold via eBay and at car-boot sales. I do NOT sell my maps via eBay or any other online service, only via my own talkytoaster websites.

Anyone else offering the maps, I compile, on MicroSD cards, as electronic downloads, or installed on Garmin devices, are stealing from you, and me.

If this practice continues I will no longer create and offer these FREE maps.

My TT HD Topo/Topo Pro (aka TT 1:50K Look n Feel) maps are only available for purchase (they are licensed to you personally).   I offer them via my shop page, both as electronic/automatic downloads (for those that know how to install the maps) and on pre-loaded 16GB or 32GB MicroSD cards (for those that want a simple plug and play solution). I also offer a subscription service for the TT HD Topo/Topo Pro (aka TT 1:50K Look n Feel) maps for those that want to gain access to the regular updates.
