If you see a message mentioning map expiry it is almost certainly related to some trial OS (Ordnance Survey) maps on the device, not the Talkytoaster maps.
If it looks like the one below, it is due to Trial OS (Ordnance Survey) maps that may have been pre-installed on the Garmin device.
The Talkytoaster maps do not expire and do not use any data from OS (Ordnance Survey).
