Why the name Talkytoaster?

Why the name Talkytoaster?

The name Talkytoaster is my Geocaching handle/pseudonym, and yes it comes from the infamous character in Red Dwarf known as Talkie Toaster (TM) purchased by Dave Lister for the extortionate sum of $£19.99 Dollar Pounds (plus Tax) on the planet Miranda… "Howdy Doodly Doo!", "I toast, therefore I am"...

I chose it as my geocaching handle as I was given it as a nickname at work after I explained about Talkie Toaster (TM) on Red Dwarf[*]; it stuck!

I have been creating and offering maps for Garmin devices since early 2008 shortly after I became involved in Geocaching and purchased my first proper Garmin GPS (a Garmin Legend Hcx), the rest, as they say, is history.

I’ve used my own maps all over the world and on many Garmin devices I’ve owned over the years (and continue to use).

P.S. Questions about the meaning of life, moon landings, extra terrestrial life, deities, and so on, or the spontaneous teleportation of socks and other clothing by washing machines (aka trans-dimensional portals) will not be accepted, sorry! Same goes for bread products, waffles, etc. 😉  Will save humankind when no-one else is up to the job...

Now, I have a very important question..... "Do you want some maps?"

[*]For those that haven't watched Red Dwarf, here's a short explanation:
"Despite being more intelligent than the Red Dwarf computer Holly, the novelty kitchen appliance was, on top of being defective, only designed to provide light conversation at breakfast time, and as such it was totally single-minded and tried to steer every conversation to the subject of toast." source - https://reddwarf.fandom.com/wiki/Talkie_Toaster
