What is a Subscription?

A subscription is not an addition (add-on) to a map purchase.

You either buy an Automatic Download (one-off) map OR purchase a Subscription instead.

A subscription includes both the GPS and BaseCamp versions of the map and access to all the updates for the length of the subscription.

A subscription is a self service model (you login and download the updates as often as you wish during your subscription period which you then manually install.  All my maps are updated at least once a month; the British Isles map is updated every week.

Subscriptions start at £33 for 12 months of access to both GPS & BaseCamp versions of a map, and access to all updates for the period of the subscription. I offer subscriptions from 1 to 20 maps in 12 and 24 month options. More details can be found here.

The maps do not expire when your subscription expires, just your ability to access further map updates does.

Any versions of the map you have downloaded can continue to be used by you.

You can upgrade to a subscription at any time. We even offer a discounted upgrade from an Automatic Download map purchase within 14 days of your original purchase; please contact us for more details if you want to take advantage of this discounted upgrade offer. 

If you want to upgrade to a new subscription option (shorter, longer or with more or less maps included, etc.), then that will replace your existing subscription. If you are part way through a subscription and want to upgrade to a higher level (more maps) then please contact us first, and we will come back to you with a special upgrade offer (which takes into account any existing subscription period, etc. that you have left).
